Long Overdue Update......

Let's see..... what has been happening? As usual, way too much. The weekend after my previous blog, I found out that I had lost 5 more pounds. This last weekend, my weight loss is from 7 to 10 lbs. I am so excited! Joe has started the program (participating fully unlike me), and he has lost 3.5 lbs the first week. He is doing it a little differently than me. He is supposed to be doing the low carb, but for some reason, everything is on it. He is such a stinker! I really want him to feel better, but he doesn't seem to be trying very hard......

Kaitlyn was in soccer this spring and she loved it, so I signed her up for the fall this past Saturday. Madison also wanted to do it, so I went and signed up two for the fall season. I hope I can make all these practices and games......

I finally talked to my son the other day. He's gone to his father's for a few weeks this summer, and I am really starting to miss him..... He seemed to be doing fine, but he said he'll be coming home soon. Corpus, where his dad lives, starts school a week earlier than we do. I hope I have some time to take him shopping for school clothes. I took Madison on Sunday, and we had a ball. We went to the mall and hit quite a few stores. The only problem we ran into was in Victoria Secret. She wanted a thong! I told her that no 10 year old of mine was going to wear a thong! She settled for some cute, soft, pink ones with a strap on the sides. I approved and we moved on to the next store......

Joe sold our pool table last weekend. We've had it for about 7 years. It was gorgeous! Solid oak, claw foot, leather pockets, with dark green felt..... I loved it, but we didn't use it much anymore. We used to have parties at the house, but now they're few and far between. Life has gotten busy for us and our friends....... We sold it to make more room for our family. A whole room was devoted to it. We have a bar in there and that is the room I originally told him he could put his animals in. He's long since outgrown it. Now I have the deer in the pool room/den and the ducks are in the living room. The only other thing the room was used for was laundry...... The top of a pool table makes a wonderful laundry table. Bad, Bad, me....... I had to do it somewhere and it was the least used room. We're going to turn it into another TV room for the kids. We're going to have a couple of laundry tables set up in there, too. Joe went and got the tables for me yesterday and I am already using them...... One for clean unfolded, and one for folded, stacked, separated clothing. We're going to move our living room furniture into the pool room and he's going to let me buy more for the front room. I can hardly wait! But waiting, I am. He wants to go looking for it in labor day sales. "We can save big money," he says. Reluctantly, I agreed and went shopping for school clothes. If I couldn't shop for one thing, I guess another would do.......

I am still in the temporary position that I have been working in. They even asked me to stay on a couple of extra weeks. They were delayed in moving the accounting to Houston, so they need me until then. I can't wait to get settled into a position that is mine. The only thing I don't like about temping is that I get attached to the people around me, and then they are gone. I still miss the ladies I worked with at my previous temp job. They were just too fun........

That, I think is all the current business to date. I have no idea what is coming in the next weekend. I will take one day at a time and keep on forging ahead.... I am sure I will think of something fun to do. Time is running out for summer. I need to make sure we get the most out of the last few weekends left!
